Frequently Asked Questions [FAQ]
Who Needs Branding Irons?
Branding irons are used for marking livestock and objects with a symbol, logo, seal or other marks. Using these iron branders, cattle owners, producers, craftsmen, woodworkers, and artisans alike can create clear, highly visible, indelible marks for identification of ownership and advertising purposes.
What Types of Materials Can I Brand?
A wide range of materials can be branded using our hot branding irons, apart from wood. These include leather, plastic (e.g.- plastic crates, tires, traffic cones), suede, cardstock, canvas and food items among others.
Are Hot Stamp and Hot Branding Iron the Same Thing?
The terms ‘hot stamp’ and ‘hot branding iron’ may be sometimes used interchangeably by some people. However, they are not the same things. The process of hot stamping requires lower temperature and is applied using a hot stamping machine whereas a hot branding iron is heated to a much higher temperature and it doesn’t require an additional machine for marking. A hot branding iron consists of two parts – the branding iron and the die which contains engravings or signs. Plus, hot branding iron has wide applications across an array of industries.
